Architectural practice is constantly outpaced by an increasingly tech-savvy and digitally interconnected society. In order for discourse to maintain relevance in this dynamic age of technological development, it must shift from being reactionary to being radical. Studio Fable aims to investigate and critique how technological development responds to the current and future issues of the built environment through an analysis of current conditions and projection into the future.
Each semester thematically addressed the beginning, middle, and end of the Fable:
The first iteration "Once Upon a Time in the Future" looked at the beginnings of modern technology in the information age and its historical influences to architecture. This ranged from the invention of the automobile and its affects on urban planning, to the improvements in space travel and the physiological transformations to the human body as it ventures into the dark unknown.

Livability, global warming, and urban heat island are all issues which affect the current design considerations of Architecture.
The second iteration "Once More, Unto the Breach" dived into these issues, proposing new technologies for architectural design to combat these in the future.

Finally, "The Final Chapter" combined these two and motivated students to consider what the outcome of these speculations would be on everything from architecture and the urban form, to the future of society and governance.
